From Austerity To Growth
Stephany Griffith-Jones – The discussion about additional financial capacity for the EU has not led to tangible results so far. We hope EU leaders will take visionary steps in the next summits and beyond. A real programme for growth needs more resources used more flexibly, a higher share of good investments that will quickly enhance both supply and demand, as well as special emphasis on measures to reduce youth unemployment now, such as higher financing for SME creation and growth. It can’t be emphasised enough that so far there has been no increase of the intervention capacity for growth.
